Set in the heart of Marlborough s wine growing area, the Old Saint Mary s Convent is a home of genuine warmth and charm, steeped in tradition and rich in history. The property is situated on an estate of 20 acres and is surrounded by the vineyards and olive groves on all sides. You can indulge in various activities, including horse trekking, scenic walks and white water rafting.
Built in 1901 for the Sisters of Mercy, the Convent offers air-conditioned rooms that are very spacious and airy with easy access to the balcony. Continental or cooked breakfast is served at the spacious formal dining room. In addition, the library, with its ornate Kauri fireplace and a separate guest lounge, is for the exclusive use of the guests.
